Freshman Aria Hooper, a standout player on Silverado High School’s Varsity Flag Football team, provided valuable insights into her off-field training routine. Hooper emphasized the importance of focus and visualization to help her mentally prepare before a game.

“Before each game, I take a moment to clear my mind and visualize myself making successful plays on the field,” she said. “It helps me build confidence and pushes me to do my best throughout the game.”

In terms of off-field training, Hooper highlighted the significance of a well-rounded approach. She explained how training off the field is just as important as the practices she has after school.

“Training off the field is crucial for flag football, and I focus on a combination of strength and studying my plays,” Hooper said.  “Whether it’s practicing outdoors for some extra training or working on memorizing my plays, I make sure to maintain a balanced routine to enhance my overall performance on the field.”

While the team struggled this season and didn’t win any games, Hooper did demonstrate her strengths, averaging 4.3 flag pulls per game. Her success stems from a balanced off-field training routine and mental preparation through visualization, showcasing her dedication and discipline.
